Growing up in Sherwood Park I thought local love was meeting friends at the "old" 7-11, riding bikes to Zellers, babysitting for neighbors and part-time jobs at family run businesses.
I know now it is much, much more.
It is hours dedicated behind the scenes.
Making dreams become reality.
It is building relationships.
Creating unique products.
It is investing in community.
Supporting businesses run by neighbors.
It begins with an idea, a passion, a leap of faith.
Supporting local business is possible and easier than you think.
I have felt the love, from friends, neighbors, clients and strangers.
This is how I give back.
This is Local Love.
This was the beginning. I have always enjoyed supporting local and discovering new local places. My goal is to support local businesses and agencies by making it easy to make connections in person and online.

Jenni is the director of Sunshine Generation in Sherwood Park. While searching for performance venues for her students, she discovered that Sherwood Park was without a focused event connecting the community and local business. With so many great local businesses, resources and agencies in the area, it was an easy decision to create an event that would build these connections and support all things local.
